May 27, 2012: Discovered that our dear friends made the decision to adopt from Ethiopia, we had no idea they were even considering it!
June 11, 2011: Submitted pre-application with Bethany Christian Services
June 12, 2012: Heard back from Bethany Christian Services that we were eligible for Ethiopia
July 1, 2012: Announced our plans to our family
July 3, 2012: Orientation with Bethany Christian Services
July 12, 2012: Submitted "formal" application with Bethany
July 17, 2012: Formally accepted into Bethany's international adoption program
July 20, 2012: Signed adoption contract with Bethany
August 3, 2012: Mailed off contract to Grand Rapids office
September 5, 2012: Inquired about a little girl on the Waiting Child List, told we would have to switch country programs, also told we are the first to inquire about this little girl
September 6, 2012: Scheduled first home study visit for the 24th, requested more info on the country program the little girl is a part of
September 24, 2012: First home study interview, received packet, and have unofficially switched programs to South Africa. Began working on home study packet (SO many post-its)
September 25, 2012: Called to schedule our physicals and was told we couldn't et appointment until November and January. Put Brandon on a cancellation list and they called that afternoon! His appointment is for tomorrow! Sarah is still trying to get in sooner.
September 26, 2012: Brandon's physical and received Sarah's birth certificate
